State fees for vehicles were last amended in 2014, when the amounts were rounded to whole numbers following the introduction of the euro. Before that, the last fundamental change took place in 2009.
The Ministry of Finance, which is responsible for the State Fees Act, undertook to revise the fees in 2023, with most of the changes entering into force on 1 July 2024.
